Avis Budget Group
Published on 7 Jan 2025
The Challenge
Avis Budget Group operates with multiple brands in market across their 100 plus store fronts. These are a mix of internally owned, agents, and franchises. Each store front requires a number of Point of Sale assets to position new products to market as well as localised offers.
To meet all these needs and to control compliance, the team had reverted to using Powerpoint to share updated content and asset templates. The agents and franchisees could adapt to their local needs, send the Powerpoint back for approval and then print out.
Avis Budget Group wanted:
-
A Single Source of Truth for Marketing Assets
Powerpoint and emails to distribute marketing assets was proving difficult and ineffective, especially in the complex multi-brand construct of the Avis Budget Group. -
Reduced Cost of Asset Development
Assets were taking up to 30 minutes to be produced and reviewed by Head Office digital asset resourcing. Across the hundreds of shop fronts and multiple assets, this created a large resource need to be supported, not leveraging efficiencies that the wider group was seeking to achieve.
The Solution
Avis Budget Group implemented Sesimi’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) and Creative Automation modules to address these challenges:
- Empowering Store Fronts: All retail locations across internally owned, franchisees, and agents were able to access a single source of truth of all assets and templates where permissions were controlled by head office.
- Reduction in asset development costs: All store fronts could develop their assets, completely compliant, in minutes reducing the need and cost for head office resourcing.
The roll out saw the tangible benefits of greater efficiency and cost reduction as well as greater consistency of branding and assets in market.
Outcomes
Avis Budget Group achieved these results through the implementation of Sesimi:
-
Creative Ops Cost Reduction:
Reduced reliance on Head Office to manually create assets and content required reducing the cost per asset and delivering outcomes to store fronts far faster than traditionally.
Prior to Sesimi, each asset took 30 mins of Head Office resourcing to build and/or review. With 100 locations and 6 assets per month, this reflected a 2 FTE cost on the business that was effectively reduced allowing for re-allocation to other parts of the business. -
Legal and Operational Compliance:
As all assets from forms to offers were compliant by design, legal and operational compliance was also delivered ensuring reduced risk and faster roll out of new policies and processes. -
Brand Consistency:
Leveraging the compliance by design of the platform, all assets created from Head Office to Store Front was creatively consistent leveraging and reinforcing the Avis and Budget brands in market.
